The Yellow House is owned by Simone. She and her partner Juan live nearby on a large farm where they keep horses, dogs, goats (three new kids have just been born!), donkeys, chickens and even peacocks!  Simone and Juan love all things local and organic and grow much of their own seasonal produce – some of which will be included in your substantial welcome pack (you can also enjoy one of Juan’s renowned Tortilla’s!). Simone’s philosophy is very

much “farm to fork” – pick your broad beans in the morning and enjoy a mouthwatering Risotto in the evening!

Simone had noticed the Yellow House over the years……..having fallen into disrepair, the house piqued her curiosity and she often wondered what was behind those shuttered windows….. When the house came up for sale, most prospective buyers would have been daunted by the magnitude of the works but she had the vision to see what it could become…..The work did exceed its budget and timescale,  but it’s phenomenal transformation has been worth the occasional sleepless night…..

Along with houses needing her magic touch for transformation, Simone also rescues unloved animals……the latest additions are Pinky and Perky (the curious Llamas) and Daisy and Dolly (the super friendly donkeys) – they all love to be fed carrots!

Guests will have the opportunity to buy some of Simone’s home-made produce via our honesty box whilst staying with us – currently we are offering limoncello, jam and marmalades and flavoured salts.  Enjoy (and take home) some of the delicious liquers and spirits made by the Martes Santo Distillery which dates back to 1870 and are distilled with natural fruits from the Aracena and Picos de Aroche Natural Park…..We have even had the labels customized for us!   When staying with us you really will feel to be part of the family!
